YouTube has finally opened up channel icons so that you can upload any picture you want – and yes folks, that includes ANIMATED GIF FILES!!! Learn how to roll your own and get it pimpin’ and trickin’ on your own YouTube Profile page!

So YouTube has finally opened up channel icons so that you can upload any picture you want – and yes folks, that includes ANIMATED GIF FILES!!! Many of you have already noticed the explosion of animated channel icons across YouTube in the past few days. We even made our own animated icon – and we LUV IT!!! It’s something that no YouTube Attention Whore should be without! Ever since, we’ve received tons of comments and emails. So many of you are emailing us for the hook up so we’re here to teach you how you to can become a YouTube Attention Whore with your own completely obnoxious and overbearing in-your-face animated channel icon!

Okay, so here’s the hook up:

It’s actually pretty straight-forward. Just go to your Account page, click the “change” link beneath your current channel icon, and then click “Upload an image”. Next, select an animated GIF file that you’ve created, click “Upload picture”, then click “Update Channel”. Your new icon should be live almost immediately! Just note that the file you upload should be less than 250K, otherwise it’ll be rejected. Resolution should be about 130 pixels by 96 pixels. YouTube will automatically resize it as necessary. Finito – you’re done and on your way to pimpin’ and trickin’ out your very own Youtube channel!
